Mani Ratnam’s Upcoming Film May Run Into Delays

Director Mani Ratnam’s untitled film, starring Dulquer Salman, Karthi, Keerthi Suresh and Nithya Menen, might be postponed by about six months, said a Bangalore Mirror report. Earlier, we had reported that the film would start rolling later this year, but now it seems that the project might get delayed further as the lead cast members are busy with their present commitments.

Reportedly, the director is now busy finalizing the cast and crew for the Telugu version of the bilingual. The film is said to be a revenge drama in which Karthi and Dulquer will be pitted against each other.

Earlier, Mani Ratnam was supposed to do a film with Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna, but the film was put on hold for unknown reasons. Currently, Dulquer is busy shooting for director-cinematographer Rajeev Ravi’s film in Mumbai, and Karthi is set to begin shooting for Kashmora. Nithya Menen is busy with 24, and a Kannada film with Sudeep.

Music director AR Rahman and cinematographer Ravi Varman are a part of the technical crew.
