Debutant director Sathyasaravanaa says Manjal is a typical village story revolving around a social issue. According to the director, love and relationships are taken for granted today, and he is keen to depict how love was perceived 10 years ago. Shot in villages surrounding Madurai, the film will highlight the innocence of village dwellers.
The dubbing has been completed and last minute patch works are underway. An announcement on the audio launch and movie release date is expected shortly.
Produced by Dawn Creations, Manjal stars Thiru and Sasi in central roles, with actors Singampuli, Raj Kapoor, Sigammuthu, and Shanmugarajan forming the supporting cast. The film also has cinematographer MS Sathish, music director Selvanambi, and editor LV Dass.
