Iraivi star Anjali, who has signed a Telugu thriller titled Chitrangada, says she has no marriage plans currently, and wants to focus on her career. Like Iraivi, Chitrangada will also have a woman in the lead.
The actress was speaking to Deccan Chronicle in a free-wheeling chat about Chitrangada, her other projects, and marriage plans. Responding to questions about reports of her marriage plans, Anjali said, “Right now, I am focussing [sic] on my career and have a huge line-up of films. I have no marriage plans. But if something happens, I will surely inform everyone. For now, we are looking for a girl for my brother.”

She also said that after doing the Telugu horror-comedy Geethanjali, she had been offered a similar role, but turned it down. “I didn’t want to do it again. And that’s when director Ashok came up with Chitrangada, a thriller, completely different from my earlier films,” she said, “Chitrangada is a first-of-its-kind movie in my career.”
Anjali does have a horror film in Tamil lined up though, among other projects. But, she said, “I am choosy about my projects and don’t want to take up a lot of films at one go. I want to do the best of films and want people to talk about my roles. It’s not like I take up a film, take the remuneration, shoot and am done.”
