Miruthan, directed by Shakthi Soundarrajan, has been given an A certificate by the censor board. At a recent press meet, actor Jayam Ravi said that Miruthan would be a ‘different’ zombie film, with a strong logical foundation.
“Miruthan will be a different zombie film. The film will have a strong logical explanation for the audience to believe in. I play a traffic police official in Miruthan and Lakshmi Menon plays a doctor”, said the actor. Miruthan is conceived from two Tamil words, Mirugam (Animal) and Manithan (Human). “It was a coincidence when Madhan Karky pointed out that Miruthan is a synonym for walking corpse,” said the director. He further added that the film had extensive CG work.
