The film, which stars Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram in the lead, is reportedly progressing at a rapid pace. Dhruv steps into Vijay Deverakonda’s role.
Earlier reports suggested that Shriya Sharma, who has acted in a few Telugu films, and Gautami’s daughter Subbulakshmi were being considered for the female lead of the film.
This is not the first time Bala is launching a new face on the big screen. Bala’s recent film Naachiyar also saw a promising new face – Ivana. Despite a strong cast including Jyothika and GV Prakash, Ivana’s left an impressive mark.
Produced by E4 Entertainment, Varma will have dialogues penned by the National Award winning director Raju Murugan. After impressing everyone with her role in Kaala, Eswari Rao will also be seen in an important role in the film.
