Ittymaani: Made In China, in which Mohanlal plays the title role (and reportedly has a dual role), is one of the Onam releases this year. Jibi and Joju make their directorial debut with this comedy. Shaji Kumar is the cinematographer of Ittymaani. The film also features Raadhika Sarathkumar, Aju Varghese, Vinu Mohan, Honey Rose, and others. The makers had earlier released a teaser in which Mohanlal and KPAC Lalitha speak fluent Mandarin.
The movie is set in Kunnamkulam (a ‘renowned’ duplicate product hub) in Kerala. The film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirvad Cinemas and features music by Kailas Menon and 4 Musics.
