Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has made it official that his music band would be clled Lalisom — The Lal Effect. And their first show is in January 2015. The band’s performance will involve nearly 40 hit songs from Mohanlal movies using hologram technology. “I wish to give back to everyone who supported me through this venture. The show would have images of my films and also my life,” said the actor.

The music band is said to be a ‘nostalgic musical odyssey’ for Mohanlal, who started his career in 1978. The show is being conceptualised by Priyadarshan and TK Rajeev Kumar. The actor would be travelling with his band across the world to hold stage shows.
Mohanlal’s inclination for music is nothing new and he has rendered more than 30 songs in his three decade long career. One of the promising music directors of Malayalam cinema, Ratish Vega is also a part of the band. The band was officially launched last evening at a grand function in Kochi.
