The teaser of Mohanlal, starring Manju Warrier and Indrajit, is out. The film is based on the life of Meenukutti, played by Manju Warrier, who was born on the day Malayalam superstar Mohanlal made his debut in Malayalam cinema.

Meenukutti worships Mohanlal. Incidentally, her name is inspired from actress Rekha’s character ‘Meenukutti’ from the Mohanlal film Aye Auto, while the name of Indrajith’s character is inspired from Mohanlal’s character ‘Sethu Madhavan’ from the National Award winning movie Kireedam.
This film is said to be a tribute to the actor, through his two fans – Meenukutti and Sethu Madhavan.
The movie is written and directed by Sajid Yahia who previously made the action-comedy IDI- Inspector Dawood Ibrahim with Jayasurya in the lead.
Apart from Manju Warrier and Indrajith, actors Salim Kumar, Soubin Sahir, Aju Varghese and Hareesh Kanaran are also part of the cast. Anil Kumar produces the movie under the banner of Full On Studio Frames.
