Mollywood actor Sreejith Ravi was arrested on Friday for allegedly exposing himself to a group of school girls. He was arrested under charges of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences(POSCO) act, and was held at the Ottapalam police station in Palakkad.
Following the complaint filed by a group of 14 girls, an FIR was filed against the actor for indulging in lewd behaviour. According to the complaint, on August 27, a man stopped his car and exposed his private parts to a group of girls, while clicking pictures of them. However, the complaint didn’t mention the actor by name, but only mentioned his car number.

Sreejith Ravi, however, denied any involvement in the incident. He said that although the vehicle mentioned in the complaint belonged to him, the students might have made a mistake while noting down the number. But the students on seeing the actor’s photo, identified and confirmed it was him.
Sreejith Ravi will be produced in the Palakkad Additional Sessions Court today.
Sreejith Ravi is the son of the yesteryear actor T.G Ravi. A graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka, he made his film debut in 2005. He is often seen in villain roles and character roles. He was last seen in the Malayalam movie, Anyarku Praveshanamilla.
