In his post, Vineeth noted that Mr. Woman marks the reunion of the cast of his own directorial debut Malarvaadi Arts Club — Bhagath Manuel, Aju Varghese, Harikrishnan — after 11 years. The film also features Nandan Unni and Biju Kuttan in pivotal roles.

Speaking to Silverscreen India, Ginu said, “We are lucky to reunite the star cast of Malarvadi Arts Club as the audience is very fond of these actors. We first pitched the idea to Bhagath and after he accepted, we managed to rope in the other actors.”

Ginu added that Mr. Woman’s announcement coincided with the 11th anniversary of Malarvadi Arts Club.

Produced by Frame Makers Entertainment, Mr. Woman is a feel-good comedy. “This film will be a feel-good entertainer with a lot of humour. We also intend to send a message to the audience that is very relevant in the present situation,” said Ginu.

The filmmaker added that the film follows a male-chauvinistic protagonist who eventually transforms into a better person after meeting a few people and going through a few incidents.

“The film’s story was written by Biju Aryan a few years ago. Around four months back, he approached us with this story and we all sat together and fleshed out the script,” said Ginu, adding that the project is currently in the pre-production stage.

The technical crew of Mr. Woman includes cinematographer Prasanth Madhav, makeup artist Ronex Xavier, costume designer Sameera Saneesh, project designer Deepak Mohan, and editor Linto.

The team hopes to begin shooting in September in Idukki district’s Thodupuzha region, the filmmaker revealed. “The film can be shot with a limited  crew. However, we do have a few outdoor sequences that need to be planned according to the Covid guidelines.”
