Mysskin Refutes Plagiarism Charges

Mysskin recently refuted the plagiarism allegations surrounding his films. At a press meet for his movie Pisaasu, the filmmaker spoke out against the recent reports which termed his upcoming film a copy. “No matter what I do or say, hundreds of people will watch my films and try hard to find a Korean or an Italian film that has the same style or plot-line. I’d like to save them the trouble. Pisaasu is a copy of another film just like my Onaaiyum Aatukuttiyum. While the latter is a copy of a 13th century Portuguese movie, Pisaasu has been lifted from a 11th century Italian film,” he said with heavy sarcasm.

The film’s teaser was launched recently and has been applauded for its haunting background score, courtesy Arol Kuroli. Debutants Naga and Prayaga play the leads in this film while Radha Ravi is cast in a pivotal role. Director Bala produces the movie and is likely to release it around Christmas this year.
