The Nadigar Sangam’s office bearers have cancelled the controversial lease agreement with SPI Cinemasthat Sarathkumar and his team had agreed upon. Actor Vishal, on Monday, tweeted the news:

Actor Karthi, Nadigar Sangam’s treasurer, reached an amicable solution with SPI Cinemas, and cancelled the agreement with them.
The previous office bearers of Sangam, led by actor Sarathkumar, had made a lease agreement with SPI Cinemas to build a multiplex on the land owned by the Sangam. This decision had not gone well with a few members, and a disagreement over this finally led to change of guard in the association last year.
