Nagma met Rajinikanth earlier this week. A member of the Congress party, her meeting with Rajinikanth had fuelled reports that she was part of a delegation sent by the Congress to woo Rajini for his support.

Refuting the rumours, she told Silverscreen, “I paid a courtesy visit to Rajini sir’s home as he is my long-time well-wisher. I was in town for the audio launch of Magalir Mattum, and wanted to meet a few old friends. There was no politics discussed during my visit with Sir. It is up to him to decide whether he wants to join politics. But, personally, I feel that it would be good if he joins.”
The actress also denied rumours that she was looking to make her Tamil comeback soon. “At present, I am fully focused on my political career. If ever the desire to act comes, I’ll definitely make an announcement,” she said
