Actress Nandita Swetha will make her Telugu debut with Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada. The film is directed by Vi Anand, who made his directorial debut with Appuchi Gramam. Actors Nikhil Siddhartha and Hebah Patel are also a part of this film that has the tagline – ‘You cannot escape love’.
The film’s first look was recently revealed on social media platforms on 31 May; while the movie itself is set to release next month.

The shooting of the film will reportedly wrap up this month in time for its October release. Producers of the film have reportedly pegged 12 September as the final day for shooting. “Talkie part will be completed by 12th and we are planning to release the movie in October,” they said.
Nandita Swetha, best known for her performances in Attakathi, Ethir Neechal, and Mundaasupatti, had been announced as one of the female leads in April this year. The actress had reportedly been waiting for the right opportunity to present itself, before she made her Telugu debut. “She was offered several Telugu projects over the years; however, she was waiting for the right opportunity. She didn’t want to make her Telugu debut with a bad film, hence didn’t sign any project in a hurry,” a source told the Indian Express.

Nandita made her acting debut in 2008 with a Kannada film called Nanda Loves Nanditha. It was after this film that she had adopted her character’s name Nandita as her screen name. Her second film, Attakathi (2012) directed by Pa Ranjith, was more successful and won her accolades for her performance. Her third film, Ethir Neechal with Siva Karthikeyan and Priya Anand won her the SIIMA Award that year for Best Supporting Actress.
Currently, Nandita is awaiting the release of Ulkuthu with Dinesh Ravi. She is also a part of Selvaraghavan’s film Nenjam Marappathillai starring alongside SJ Suryah and Regina Cassandra. The teaser of the film was released last month to favourable reviews. The movie is said to be a romantic horror.
Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, meanwhile, is produced by Meghana Arts with most of the shooting taking place at Chikmagalur, Karnataka.
