Superstar Nayanthara may join the cast of upcoming film Seethakathi, starring Vijay Sethupathi according to a report in Maalai Malar.
Silverscreen earlier reported that Gayatri will play the female lead, and actor Archana has a pivotal role. Maalai Malar reports that while there is a female lead as per the story, the character wouldn’t be paired with that of Vijay Sethupathi.
According to the report, Vijay Sethupathi himself approached Nayanthara and offered her the role. Nayanthara and Sethupathi last acted together in the film Naanum Rowdy Dhan. There will be other guest appearances by leading actresses in the film.
Seethakathi sees Sethupathi collaborating with his Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom director Balaji Tharaneetharan.

Recently, Nayanthara’s Dora and Vijay Sethupathi’s Kavan released close to each other. Of the two, Kavan had a bigger star cast, and greater marketing and, theatrical reach. However, with lady Superstar in the lead, Dora seems to have fared better.
