Nayanthara, who was earlier rumoured to be hosting the third season of Bigg Boss, is not part of the show. Instead, Kamal Haasan, who had hosted the previous version, will come back for the third one. Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports also suggested that Nayanthara may be a part of the Suriya-Siva film, currently referred to as Suriya 39, but these have been dismissed as rumours by the film’s producer.
Earlier, a tweet from the handle of Colors Tamil, the co-producers of the show, had led to speculations about the actress’s involvement with the show. A source close to the actor had told Silverscreen that the news cannot be confirmed yet. “As of now these are rumours,” the source had said.

According to a report in Iflicks.com, Nayanthara will not be hosting the third edition of Bigg Boss. The latest report suggests that this was in connection with the premiere of the actress’ movie Imaikaa Nodigal on the channel. The report further stated that Kamal Haasan will continue to host the show for a third consecutive time.
In 2017, Kamal Haasan made his television debut as the host of the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil. He had previously appeared as a guest on several shows and interviews but was known for staying away from endorsing brands, major shows or political parties. When Bigg Boss Tamil was launched, the producers reportedly thought Kamal’s knowledge about a range of topics made him a favourable host. The episodes and his speeches on the show went on to pave way for his political entry months later.
Meanwhile, many reports suggested that Nayanthara may be cast in Suriya’s upcoming film with director Siva. Talking to Silverscreen, KE Gnanavel Raja, whose production company Studio Green, is bankrolling the news dismissed these reports as rumours. “Any developments on that front will be announced officially,” he added.
The actress is currently busy shooting for multiple projects. Director Atlee’s Thalapathy 63, and Surendar Reddy’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy are being filmed. She recently joined the sets of AR Murugadoss’ Darbar, the shoot for which is happening in Mumbai.
