Earlier last year, Hotstar Specials announced that it will be collaborating with Neeraj Pandey (A Wednesday, Special 26, M.S, Dhoni: The Untold Story) for a project. This international spy thriller show, we hear now, is titled Special Ops. This marks the digital debut of the director.
According to a statement from the makers, the show follows a 19-year timeline, and is centred around events that are of national significance. The show is being shot across multiple locations across countries, including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Jordan, and India.
Produced by Neeraj Pandey and Shital Bhatia for Friday Storytellers – the digital arm of Friday Filmworks, the show will be co-directed by Pandey and Shivam Nair. The show has also been written by Pandey, along with Deepak Kingrani, and Benazir Ali Fida.
