Netflix India’s big-ticket original series Sacred Games, starring Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte, will premiere on July 6.

In an earlier interview, Motwane had said the show is like a “guinea pig” in the Indian market, and that there is pressure on them to “deliver a great show”.
Sacred Games focuses on Sartaj Singh, a seasoned and cynical Mumbai Police officer, who gets an anonymous tip that promises him an opportunity to capture the powerful Ganesh Gaitonde, criminal overlord of the G-Company. As the stakes mount and Sartaj digs deeper, it becomes clear that the game the two players thought they were engaged in, is in fact, part of a much larger syndicate. The book throws light on the underbelly of Mumbai.
