Nivetha Pethuraj has joined the cast of actor Vijay Sethupathi’s next with director Vijay Chandar, who last worked on the Vikram starrer Sketch. The news was officially announced by the film’s production house.

It was earlier reported that Raashi Khanna has an important role in the film. She was last seen in Adanga Maru with Jayam Ravi. Both Nivetha Pethuraj and Raashi Khanna reportedly play pivotal roles with equal screen space in the new film.
Produced by Vijaya Productions, the film has music by Vivek and Mervin. Cinematography is by Velraj and stunts by Anal Arasu. Shooting will begin from March 4 in Hyderabad. The film also features Soori, Nasser, Rajendaran, Ravi Kishan, Marimuthu, John Vijay and Sriman in pivotal roles. This marks Soori’s third collaboration with Sethupathi, after Sundarapandiyan and Rummy.
Talking about the film, director Vijay Chander told The Indian Express, “North Madras played a key role in my previous film, and so it does in my next film. Usually, North Chennai has a different look from other parts of the city — be it in terms of the place or the people. There’s so much to explore further.”
“I have been working on this script even before the release of Sketch. Sethu anna and I often bounce off ideas. When I approached him with this one, he liked it. He will be get a makeover in this film, with loads of action sequences. Anal Arasu has lot of interesting ideas about presenting the stunt sequences in a never-seen-before way,” he further added.

Nivetha Pethuraj was last seen in Thimiru Pudichavan directed by Ganeshaa. Her upcoming films are Venkat Prabhu’s Party, Ezhil’s Jagajala Killadi, and Pon Manickavel by AC Mugil Chellapan starring Prabhu Deva in the lead. She will also be seen in the Telugu film Brochevarevarura, currently in production.
