Actor-turned-director Geetu Mohandas is all set to direct actor Nivin Pauly in her next film, titled Moothon. She announced the project with a first-look poster which features Nivin Pauly sporting a tribal look for the film. Nivin Pauly took to Twitter to announce his collaboration with Geetu Mohandas as he wrote,”New Team, New Learning, New Experience !! All excited to associate with this vibrant team. Geetu has collaborated with ace Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap in penning the dialogues of the movies. Kashyap has called this his “Malayalam debut.” Reports have been doing the rounds of Anurag Kashyap playing a part in the movie as well.
Moothon is produced by Jar Pictures, and presented by Eros International and Aanand L Rai of Color Yellow Productions.
Geetu Mohandas made her directorial debut with the short film Kelkunnundo and won the National Award for her first feature film, Liar’s Dice which saw Nawazzudin Siddique and Geetanjali Thapa in the lead. Nivin Pauly is presently awaiting the release of a slew of movies which includes Roshan Andrew’s directorial Kayamkalum Kochunni, Althaf Salim’s Njangalude Naatil Oridavela, Sidhartha Shiva’s Sakhavu and many more.
