Ulidavaru Kandanthe, directed by Rakshit Shetty, was a commercial success in 2014, and has won several awards this year. The film has even drawn comparisons with the Japanese classic Rashomon. Like Rashomon, multiple characters recount stories from their perspectives, and the single connecting theme is the same murder.

Nivin will be reprising the lead role, which had been played by Rakshit Shetty. Directed by Gautham Ramachandran, the bilingual will be shot in the Tamilnadu- Kerala border area. Names of the remaining cast and crew will be announced shortly. Rakshit Shetty has been involved in the scripting process.
