Nivin Pauly has signed on one more Tamil film, which is to be directed by Prabhu Radhakrishnan. The film has been scripted by RD Raja of 24AM Studios, who is also producing the film. The project is expected to go on floors early next year.
Talking about the film, Prabhu Radhakrishnan, says, “This will be a romantic drama and we will begin shooting from January next year. We have just started pre-production. While Nivin Pauly plays an action hero in his debut straight Tamil film, Richie, he will be seen at his romantic best in my film. We will begin the shoot in Chennai and later travel to some villages. We are yet to finalise the locations.” Some years ago, Nivin played the lead in the Tamil-Malayalam bilingual Neram.

Prabhu Radhakrishnan, who received the National Award for his short film Parama Padham, had earlier directed Pattalam. Prabhu says, “After Pattalam, I worked along with RD Raja in the television serial Kana Kaanum Kaalangal. Since then, Raja and I have a great rapport. A producer, who also has knowledge about scripting, is an added advantage.”
Nivin Pauly has completed Richie, and will begin work on this film after wrapping up a couple of Malayalam films he’s already committed to. The rest of the cast will be decided in a month’s time.
24AM productions is currently bankrolling Velaikkaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara.
