No Re-Shoot For Chandoo Mondeti’s ‘Savyasachi’

The delay in the release of Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming release Savyasachi has resulted in several rumours. While the shooting of the film was wrapped up earlier last month, there are speculations saying that the filmmakers want to re-shoot key scenes.

As reported in Tollywood.Net, the filmmakers refuted the rumours; they added that the film will have grand visual effects as the team was not compromising on the quality, so the makers would take their own time to get the best output. They also reiterated that not even a single scene was re-shot.

Savyasachi, slated to be an action-romance entertainer, has Naga Chaitanya and Nidhhi Agerwal in the lead. It is one of the most awaited movies in Telugu cinema this season. Savyasachi is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and marks the duo’s reunion after Premam, their last film together.

The movie is bankrolled by Mohan Cherukuri, Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili and Naveen Yerneni under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers and the music is composed by MM Keeravani and Devi Sri Prasad.

The film also stars Madhavan, who will be playing an important role in the film; the actor was last seen in a cameo in Om Shanti. Other than him, the film also stars Bhumika Chawla, Mukul Dev, Vennela Kishore among others.

Savyasachi was supposed to be a June release, but due to multiple delays, the film is expected to hit screens in August.

The first-look poster, featuring Naga Chaitanya with a slightly wounded forehead and flexed muscles, was released earlier in March, with many hands in the background looking ready to fight. The positioning of the hands in the background is reminiscent of goddess Durga.

The actor also explained the title: it means ambidextrous. Going by the Mahabharata, Savyasachi was the fifth name given to Arjuna because of his skills of using both his hands in archery. Much like Arjuna, Chaitanya’s character is equally adept at all his skills.
