At the Diwali gift distribution ceremony of the Nadigar Sangam, the organization’s secretary, Vishal said that he is tired of responding to the fraud allegations made against him and the office bearers of the Nadigar Sangam, and would release the financial accounts pertaining to the Star Cricket match.
“We are being very careful in handling the funds of the organization, hence there is no chance for fraud in the Sangam now. We are investigating the claims of fraud during the previous management,” he said.
On Monday, a press statement from the Nadigar Sangam’s publicist contained the financial statement of the Star Cricket match that was held on the 17 April this year.
In August, a complaint was filed with the commissioner’s office by Varagi, a member of the Sangam and an RTI activist, accusing President Nasser and Secretary Vishal of fraud amounting to Rs. 3 crores. Shortly, Nasser accompanied by actors Ajay Rathnam and Manobala, had filed a complaint accusing Varagi of tarnishing the image of the Nadigar Sangam.
