The Srikanth and Neelam Upadhayaya starrer, Om Shanti Om has received a U certificate from the CFBC. Director Suryaprakash, former assistant of Rajesh, claimed that his debut film is the first ever in the horror genre to get a U certificate. In an interview to Deccan Chronicle, the director stated that the ghosts in the film are ‘at peace’, ‘willing to bless people, and not there to exact revenge’.
Om Shanti Om has been extensively shot in Trichy, Singapore, Malaysia and Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The makers are expected to announce the release date soon. Composer Vijay Ebenezer has scored the tunes for this movie.
