Filmmaker Pa Ranjith is known for speaking up on issues that few would rather address. He has explored caste identity and politics in his films and had even discussed the subject with the press. Taking it a step further, Ranjith has now collaborated with several musicians from Tamil Nadu for an initiative known as ‘The Casteless Collective’. Ranjith shared the news on his Twitter profile along with a promo video.

The event aims at promoting independent music and musicians while also reinstating human rights and identity.
The experimental music concert will take place on January 6, 2018 at CSI Bain School in Kilpauk, Chennai. Entry is free. More details at Madras Records.
