Director PA Ranjith is all set to bankroll his first film. The project has Mari Selvaraj as the director, and has actors Kathir and Anandhi in the lead roles. The film will go on the floors later this month.

According to a report in TOI, a source close to the film unit has said, “The film will be a beautiful love story, and it is set against the backdrop of Thirunelveli. It will be a feel-good film about the life of a youngster who lives in a village there. Kathir and Anandhi will play the leads, but the rest of the cast is yet to be finalised.”
The makers are keen on signing actors who belong to Tirunelveli district to keep the movie as realistic as possible. The film is based in Tirunelveli and will be shot entirely there.
PA Ranjith recently launched his Neelam Productions, through which he hopes to foster promising talents and unique voices in the film world. Two documentaries – Mr Shoemaker, Beware Of Castes: Mirchpur, have already been released through Ranjith’s production house.
