Palak Tiwari To Make Her Bollywood Debut With Vishal Mishra’s ‘Rosie: The Saffron Chapter’

Recently, Vivek Oberoi announced that he will be foraying into production and will be bankrolling Vishal Mishra’s upcoming films. The films titled Rosie: The Saffron Chapter and Iti: Can You Solve Your Own Murder also have Girish Johar, Kussum Arora, Prerna V Arora, Reshabh D Saraf, Garauv Bhatia, and Keyur Pandya’s Mandiraa Entertainment on board as producers. While the characters of Iti have been gradually revealed in the past weeks, the most important announcement regarding Rosie is out now.

Palak Tiwari, the daughter of Kasautii Zindagii Kay soap fame Shweta Tiwari will be playing the titular role of Rosie in the thriller film.

Two posters featuring Palak were released for the purpose. In one poster she’s seen seated at an office with her wireless headset. Her blue eyes and mysterious expression give out eerie vibes.

In the second poster, we find her face to be upside down, with one half in monochrome and the other in a normal tone. The monochrome side also has cobwebs and a cracked glass effect on it, while the other side is left normal.

Aabhar Dadhich and Vishal Mishra have penned the story of Rosie: The Saffron Chapter which will commence with shoot in September/October once the film industry is allowed to continue operations. Ashish Arjun Gaikar is editing. Rosie is a horror story based on true incidents that happened in Gurugram/Gurgaon.

Ever since the announcement of the film was made, the makers have been planning a talent hunt that would help newcomers and fresh talent. After announcing all the rules and regulations for the online hunt, the makers finally rolled out the link at which aspiring talents can submit their audition tapes, last evening.

The screening will take place online and will have veteran actor and author Kishore Namit Kapoor judging. The entrants must perform the scene offered in the designated link, post it on Youtube, submit it to the link and wait for their call. If selected, they will be working alongside Palak Tiwari in Rosie: The Saffron Chapter.

In a recent interview with mid-day, producer Prerna Arora said that Rosie: The Saffron Chapter would most likely turn out to be the first installment in the franchise that they’re planning to create as an in-house production. She also added that both films of Vishal’s are exciting and unique and that Mandiraa Entertainment is looking forward to collaborating with the director for future projects.
