‘Po Urave’ – the latest song from Kaatrin Mozhi was released earlier today. Penned by Madhan Karky and set to tune by A H Kaashif, the song has been sung by Sid Sriram.
Starring Jyothika in the lead, Kaatrin Mozhi – a remake of the 2017 Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu, has been directed by Radha Mohan. Radha Mohan had earlier directed acclaimed movies like Mozhi and Abhiyum Naanum.
Kaatrin Mozhi is the story of a house-wife who dreams about becoming an RJ. Jyothika plays Vijayalakshmi, the housewife while Vidharth plays her husband and Lakshmi Manchu acts as the manager of the radio station.
‘Po Urave’ is a song that portrays the emotions of Vidharth’s character who wants his wife to pursue her dream of becoming an RJ but at the same time, misses her presence too.
While Pon Parthibhan has adapted Suresh Triveni’s original script to Tamil, certain changes have been made in the story to suit the taste of the Tamil viewers, said the official spokesperson for the movie.
About casting Jyothika in the role, he said: “Jyothika has been cast keeping the family audience in the mind.” Her recent movies like Magalir Mattum and 36 Vayadhinile have made her a favourite among the family viewers. After Naachiyar and Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Kaatrin Mozhi marks the actress’s third release of the year.

The music for the movie has been composed by A H Kaashif who is the nephew of music director A R Rahman. “After working in so many films with my uncle (A R Rahman), I started to upload songs independently on Youtube and that is how G Dhananjayan approached me for the film,” the music director had said in a press release.
Originally scheduled to release in October, Kaatrin Mozhi was pushed to November to avoid competition from big movies like Sandakozhi 2 and Sarkar.
