Actress Pooja Ramachandran recently opened up about what she went through after her divorce from former VJ Craig Gallyot. In an interview with Times of India, Pooja revealed that it was one of the most difficult decisions she’d ever made.
“We divorced by mutual consent. It was one of the most difficult decisions that I have ever taken in my life. Nobody thought I would face such a situation. Craig and I don’t talk to each other anymore. I took a break from work for an year and just spent time on my own. I needed that break to come to terms with what was happening in my life. I don’t want to talk about why we divorced as I don’t wish to have any negative feelings about the separation,” she said.

Pooja, who has acted in a few movies including Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi (2012), Pizza (2012) and D Company (2013), also admitted that she wasn’t ambitious enough to pursue her acting career with more seriousness. “I am in no hurry to sign films, or rush into anything. So, the divorce isn’t going to make me more ambitious. I will just continue to do whatever work that comes my way,” she said.
The former couple rose to fame as anchors on the Chennai-based channel SS Music. They got married in 2010 in two separate ceremonies – one was held at Santhome Basilica and the other in Guruvayur temple.
