Srinivasan, the self-titled ‘Powerstar’ of Kollywood, is all set to star in a film that will be a fictionalized spoof on the controversies surrounding Lingaa. There have been issues surrounding Lingaa ever since its release. Interestingly, the producer of the film will be Singaravelan, the distributor of Lingaa, who has been directly involved in many of the controversies. The director and other details of the crew will be announced soon.
The K.S. Ravikumar-directed film Lingaa, which released late last year, was a huge failure at the box-office, resulting in heavy losses for its distributors. Following this, a group of distributors led by Singaravelan demanded compensation for their losses. Reportedly, Singaravelan is planning to distribute the spoof film free of cost, to ensure that the distributors and theatre owners recover their money lost due to Lingaa.
Sources claim that this film may be titled as ‘Naanum Hero Dhan’. Lest the audiences forget.
