Jenuse told Times of India “It will have a genre unexplored in Malayalam. It will be mostly science fiction and also a horror-thriller. Right now Prithviraj, Parvathy and Nithya are confirmed. I am sorting out the rest of the cast and technical crew.”

The film marks the third collaboration between Prithviraj and Parvathy, who worked in last year’s Ennu Ninte Moideen. The duo are currently shooting in Portugal for My Story. The project is Nithya’s second with director Jenuse.

“Most of the movie will be happening in Himachal Pradesh. We will also be filming in a few places in Kerala. We are hoping to start shooting after March next year,” Jenuse added.

Science fiction has so far been an unexplored genre in Malayalam cinema. The last sci-fi film that released was Red Rain in 2013, starring Narain. Apart from this, there have been very few sci fi films like Karutha Rathrikal (1967), Jaithra Yaathra (1987) and Barathan Effect (2007).

Meanwhile,  Prithviraj’s next release will also be a horror thriller titled Ezra, opposite Priya Anand. The film is set in the present and 1930s Jew Town in Mattanchery, Kochi. The actor has also announced his directorial debut starring Mohanlal. The film, titled Lucifer, will also have Kunchako Boban in a supporting role. The movie will be bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirvad Cinemas. Director Murali Gopy will write the screenplay for the film.
