Known for his hard-hitting movies like Kazhcha, Thanmathra and Pranayam, Blessy, a former associate of director Lohithadas, began the shooting of Aadujeevitham in March. Based on Benyamin’s best-selling book of the same name, Aadujeevitham talks about the plight of a Malayali who goes in search of a job to the Gulf.

The actor is believed to be sporting two looks for the movie. While one look demands a fairly built physique, the other requires him to shed weight. This is the reason the movie’s shoot is  spread across a span of two years.

The movie made news ever since it was announced that A.R.Rahman was composing the music. This would mark the maestro’s comeback to Malayalam after a gap of 25 years. He last composed in Malayalam for the Mohanlal starrer Yodha in 1992, shortly after composing for his debut movie Roja. The composer recently said that he had finished composing two songs, one of which is sung by Chinmayi Sripaada.

Amala Paul plays the female lead in the movie. This marks the coming together of Prithviraj and Amala Paul for the first time. Best known for her performance in Mili and Oru Indian Pranaya Katha, the actress was last seen in Malayalam in 2017 in Achayans.

The cinematography of the movie will be handled by K.U.Mohanan. Best known for his work in Hindi movies like Don, Raees and Andhadhun, his last work in Malayalam came with the Fahadh Faasil starrer Carbon.

Vineeth Srinivasan and Aparna Balamurali are also part of the cast. Resul Pookutty is the sound designer for the movie. Blessy had recently stated that the movie will not be releasing this year. The movie is being produced by K.G. Abraham and will release in 3D.
