Prithviraj Sukumaran will reportedly be producing Jean Paul Lal’s upcoming directorial Driving License, scripted by writer-director Sachy. Prithviraj also stars in the film with Suraj Venjaramoodu.
Shooting for the comedy venture is expected to begin after Prithviraj completes Brother’s Day in June. According to a ToI report, Prithviraj plays the role of a person who has a craze for cars, and Suraj Venjaramoodu is a vehicle inspector. Official announcements about the characters are yet to be made.
Jean Paul Lal, also called Lal Jr, made his debut with Honey Bee, a film that was a hit among younger audiences. His second film Hi I’m Tony was a psychological thriller, in contrast to his previous film. This was followed by Honey Bee 2.5, which had high expectations, but didn’t do well at the box-office.

Jean reportedly told the media that Driving License will be a big-budget comedy entertainer, different from his previous films. He is currently working on a film with Jayasurya in the lead.
Driving License marks Prithviraj’s second production after 9, the recent science-fiction film directed by Jenuse Mohamed. The film followed events in the life of an astrophysicist and his son during a time of crisis when a comet passes close to the earth. Prithviraj, who initially only planned to act in the film, later launched his production house with 9 as its first venture.
Prithviraj’s directorial debut Lucifer, starring Mohanlal in the lead, released last month. The film featured Indrajith, Sai Kumar, Nandhu, Fazil and Kalabhavan Shajon. The story and screenplay of the movie was by Murali Gopy, who is known for political films such as Left Right Left.
The actor also tweeted about staying awake at night following something Murali Gopy said. This has led to speculation that another collaboration is in the pipeline.
I guess when a thought that your writer puts into your head..doesn’t let you sleep at 2:20 am..you know as a film maker..that’s what you want to do next! @muraligopy Why do you do this to me??? ??♂️
