Actress Priya Bhavani Shankar, known for her role in Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai, will make her film debut with Meyatha Maan. The film is directed by Rathnakumar, who has reportedly based it on his short film, Madhu.
The project was announced earlier this week, in the presence of directors Mani Ratnam and Bharathiraja. Directors Lingusamy and SJ Suryah launched the first look.

The film will be produced through Karthik Subbaraj’s newly launched Stone Bench Films. At a press meet, the Jigarthanda director said, “I have been listening to a couple of scripts for a while now and that is when Rathna (director) came up with his script. His humour sense is something to watch out for and will be a complete rom-com.”
Vaibhav will be seen playing the male lead in the movie. Santhosh Narayanan, Pradeep Kumar will compose the music for the film.
The film has been wrapped up, according to reports. A release date will be announced soon.
