The film faced controversy as the story mirrored the circumstances that led to the death of actress Sridevi. Producer Boney Kapoor, Sridevi’s husband, sent a legal notice to the filmmakers asking them not to use her name anywhere in the film. However, director Prashanth said it was a common name and he was prepared to face any issue. In a recent interview to News 18, Priya said that she was confident the film will do well.
She also has her second Hindi film Love Hackers, a thriller about cyber security and crime, directed by Mayank Prakash Srivatsava. Pre-production work is on and she will be travelling to various locations across Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai and Lucknow for shoot soon.
