Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas is set to star alongside Outlander actor Sam Heughan and singer Celine Dion in a romantic drama film titled Text For You. Shooting for the film has already commenced.
Chopra Jonas posted an Instagram story with the caption “It begins…#textforyou.”
The film is a remake of the 2016 hit German film SMS Fur Dich, which was based on Sofie Cramer’s novel by the same name. The film is being distributed by Sony’s Screen Gems.
According to a report by Variety, the story revolves around a woman who sends romantic messages to her dead fiancé’s phone. However, it turns out the number has been reassigned to a man across town suffering from a similar heartbreak. The two meet and despite feeling a strong connection towards each other, they are unable to let go of their past.

The film is being directed by James C Strouse. He has written the film’s script along with screenwriter Lauryn Kahn. The film will be produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Esther Hornstein for Thunder Road, which undertook the production of films like A Star is Born and John Wick.
Strouse last directed the film The Incredible Jessica James, starring Jessica K Williams, Chris O’Dowd, Lakeith Stanfield, and Noel Wells.
Chopra Jonas will also be seen in the upcoming Netflix film White Tiger, which has been co-produced by her. On Saturday, she shared an Instagram story of her dubbing for the film. She will also be seen in We Can Be Heroes, directed by Robert Rodriguez. She is also set to star in Matrix 4 and Citadel, which is being directed by Avengers: Endgame directors Russo Brothers.
