Priyanka Chopra has been attacked by belligerent internet people for failing to conform to their standards of appropriate clothing, again.
Silverscreen had earlier reported that Priyanka was trolled for daring to meet the Prime Minister, while he was in Germany, in a dress. Now, Indian Express reports that trolls, loving fans, and irate people have attacked her once more for failing to wear a sari for the Indian Independence Day.
Priyanka posted a video on her Instagram feed:
This immediately triggered a series of comments from people who criticised her choice of outfit (white top, which apparently is not a good colour to combine with Saffron and Green of the Tricolour. Oh wait, no! That’s not true.)

One said, “How about a Sari? At least on this auspicious day, you were expected in a sari.” Other comments followed a similar theme: “What is next Indian flag saree shame on u PC”, said one. Another said, “Don’t you have a salwar-kameez for this occasion?” while a third person said, “She should b ashamed for hurting nation’s sentiments.”
However, some support came her way. One said: “You can troll her as much as you want. Nothing and no one can change her or get her to doubt herself. She is a <expletive deleted> BOSS!”
Another said: “If the PM of India can use the national flag to dab his sweat during yoga, there is no fault in using the tricolour as a duppatta…and how many Indian wore sari and salwar kameez on Aug 15th..??.”
(Unconfirmed reports suggest that the Cyber Crime division of Delhi Police is currently looking for this user’s physical address, in order to issue a stern warning for taking the name of the Prime Minister in vain, and for daring to compare Modi to PC.)
