Actor Pulkit Samrat was caught in a minor scuffle with photographers outside a Mumbai court this Monday. Soon after divorce proceedings with his now ex-wife Shweta Rohira were finalised, photographers outside the court reportedly flocked around the Bollywood actor. Subsequently, Samrat hit back at them.
According to a Spotboye report, Samrat grabbed a photographer’s camera and smashed it on the ground, while his lawyers threatened the photographer. “Photo nikalne ke laayak nahi rahoge tum log [You won’t be capable of taking photos anymore],” they were quoted saying.
The photographer, who spoke to a DNA reporter, alleged that the actor had attacked him and incited his lawyers and security guards to beat him as well. “Pulkit and Shweta arrived together at around 1 pm. They were inside the court for over three hours. When they left, Pulkit attempted to make a run to avoid the cameras. When we chased him, he threatened us and grabbed me by my collar. He was accompanied by his security guards and lawyer, who also punched us,” he said.

News of the separation between Samrat and Rohira had surfaced after Rohira repeatedly complained about Samrat’s infidelity. The two were married in 2014 but soon after, the actor was linked with his frequent co-star Yami Gautam. The couple then decided to separate in November 2015.
“I was karmically divorced long ago. Going to court was a technical exercise, only for the paperwork. We are adults, we took a decision, our lives have changed. I have put a full stop to one chapter of my life. I want to begin anew,” Rohira was quoted saying after the divorce proceedings on Monday.
The actor is currently shooting for Fukrey 2, the second installment of the 2013 film.
