Actor Allu Arjun’s upcoming film Pushpa will go on floors from Tuesday, the makers of the film announced on Twitter.
The makers also posted a short pre-production glimpse video. Rashmika Mandanna will be seen alongside Allu Arjun in this Sukumar directorial.
In the video, Allu Arjun and Mandanna can be seen chatting with the director. Allu Arjun is also seen preparing for his look in the film. The film, which marks Allu Arjun’s third collaboration with Sukumar, is touted to be an action thriller. The film reportedly revolves around the issue of sandalwood smuggling.

The film’s first look poster was unveiled on the occasion of Allu Arjun’s birthday in May. In the poster, he is seen sporting a fierce and rugged look.
Earlier, it was reported that the film will be shot in forests in Kerala but shooting was halted because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The film is now expected to be shot in forests near Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh, with a minimal number of people on the set.
Allu Arjun will be returning to work for the first time since the pandemic-induced lockdown was imposed.

The film also stars Dhananjay, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Harish Uthaman, Vennela Kishore, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Anish Kuruvilla in supporting characters. While Miroslaw Kuba Brozek will be handling the camera, editing will be done by Karthika Srinivas and Devi Sri Prasad is composing music.
Vijay Sethupathi had earlier been confirmed for the antagonist’s role but the actor opted out over unavailability of dates.
Allu Arjun also has an upcoming untitled project with filmmaker Koratala Siva. He will also be seen in Icon, which is being directed by Sriram Venu. He was last seen in Trivikram Srinivas‘ Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
