Actor-Director Thiagarajan has bagged the remake rights for the Hindi movie Queen. The movie follows Rani, a naive girl who gets jilted at the altar but goes on her honeymoon anyway – all by herself. The Mambattiyan actor says that the theme of the movie was ‘universal’ and he feels very confident that the audiences down south would be able to relate to it. Confirming this development, Viacom 18’s COO said that he felt really happy to see a Bollywood movie being remade down south. “It’s usually the south Indian movies that get remade here and it’s become something of a trend. We’re very happy to have turned the tables on this.”
