Rayane Radikaa, head of the Radaan Digital Media team, told Silverscreen, “My mother always tells me that ‘Content is King’. Balaji Mohan, who is a good friend of mine, had told me about how short films had helped him. That’s when I decided to use Radaan as a platform to showcase the talent we have. Everyone needs that first push. What differentiates this short film festival from others is that we had workshops for these filmmakers. The interaction they had with people from the film industry helped them a lot.”
When asked about the idea behind the Radaan Digital team, Rayane said “We have Radaan’s serials, and we have also started kids’ shows, cooking, food shows, cultural content. We host them on YouTube and this will help the audience reconnect with their roots. For now, we are dealing with Tamil and English as our medium of language. But we also plan to start working on other South Indian languages.”
