Radhika Apte will work with Sriram Raghavan again, after their 2015 film Badlapur. Radhika has been cast in the musical thriller, Shoot the Piano Player, which also features Ayushman Khurrana and Tabu.
According to a source, “Radhika was signed recently but had been prepping for the part for a while. Ayushmann, who plays a musician in the film, started attending workshops two months ago, while Tabu kicked off prep last month. Radhika and Tabu will join Ayushmann in Pune for the first schedule this week.”

Shooting for the film began yesterday in Pune. The makers have signed on Sriram Raghavan’s FTII batchmate Mohanan as the Director of Photography. “This is Sriram and Mohanan’s first feature film (together). This schedule is expected to go on for 16-18 days, after which the team will take a break and resume by July-end in Mumbai,” said the source.
The film will also feature actors Vinay Pathak and Ashwini Kalsekar, who had also acted in Raghavan’s Badlapur and Johnny Gaddar.
Radhika Apte is also working on an Ashutosh Gowariker production, and will play a financial analyst in the Saif Ali Khan-Nikhil Advani film, Baazaar.
