Sivakarthikeyan, who is awaiting the release of Seema Raja, has signed two more films which are in the production stages. One is with M Rajesh, expected to be a comedy drama and the other will be directed by Ravi Kumar of Netru Indru Naalai fame. Veteran actress Radhika Sarathkumar is the latest addition to the cast of M Rajesh film.
The film has Nayanthara in the lead, while Sathish and Yogi Babu will be in pivotal roles. It is produced by KE Gnanavelraja under the banner of Studio Green Productions. Radhika Sarathkumar recently said that she will be playing Sivakarthikeyan’s mother in the film. She tweeted a picture with the actor as well.

The actress has been known for the mother roles that she has played on-screen. From rural to educated, from strict to affectionate, she has played all kinds of mothers to Tamil heroes. In Theri, she was seen as Vijay’s mother, a humourous and take-it-easy kind of mother, while in Naanum Rowdydhaan, she played the innocent but strict mother to Vijay Sethupathi.
In Dharma Durai set in rural Tamil Nadu, she played the mother who is particularly partial to her middle son. In Dhanush’s Thanga Magan, she was the quite and caring mom, while in Vishal Krishna’s Poojai, she was the headstrong matriarch.
On the work front, Radhika Sarathkumar has Oh Andha Naatkal, a drama directed by James Vasanthan. The film will also feature Kushboo, Suhasini and Urvashi in lead roles.
