Raid Trailer Out: After Golmaan Again, Ajay Devgn Embraces His Serious Side

Ajay Devgn, who shared the first look poster of his upcoming film Raid today, also shared the film’s trailer. After the roaring success of his comedy film Golmaal Again, the actor has gone back to playing serious roles.

In the trailer, the actor is not fighting with fists but with words. Based on a true story set in the 1980s, Devgn plays an Income Tax officer Amay Patnaik, who carries out a non-stop raid at the mansion of Tauji (played by Saurabh Shukla), regarded as one of the most powerful man in Lucknow.

“Officers like you can’t even kill a mosquito in my office, forget conducting a raid,” says the gnarly Tauji, with Patnaik paying no heed to his threats. The trailer then shows the chaos that erupts soon after the raid. Riots break out, vehicles are torched, sticks and stones are thrown, and even Patnaik’s wife (played by Ileana D’Cruz) suffers the brunt of it.
