Sandakozhi 2 shoot halted for a week
A set resembling a locality in Madurai was recreated in Chennai for the shoot of Lungusamy’s Sandakozhi 2 starring Vishal and Keerthy Suresh. The filming has been stopped for a week as a result of severe waterlogging on the sets. A source from the film’s unit told Silverscreen, “After the rains stop, it will be checked if the set is safe or else we move it to Madurai.”
Karthi’s Theeran Adhigaram Ondru audio launch cancelled
The audio launch of Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, starring Karthi and Rakul Preet Singh, produced by SR Prabhu’s Dream Warrior Pictures, was scheduled to happen tomorrow at Sathyam theatre in Chennai. The team has cancelled the audio launch due to inclement weather condition. “It will be inconvenient for the guests to come to the launch in heavy rain. Not a good time. So, we may release the songs directly in music portals,” told a source from the film’s unit to Silverscreen.

Irumbu Thirai shoot delayed
Director Mithran, who is shooting with Vishal on Ritchie street, Chennai, is having a tough time wrapping up the shoot of Irumbu Thirai. The crew is shooting whenever the rain stops and sometimes they are forced to shoot even in the rains as the film is scheduled to release for Pongal 2018. The film has Samantha Akkineni as the female lead.
