Rajamouli’s RRR Resumes Shoot

SS Rajamouli‘s next film RRR or Roudram Ranam Rudhiram, resumed shoot in Hyderabad from Monday. The makers uploaded a video on Youtube with #WeRRRBack giving a glimpse into a post- pandemic Rajamouli film set.

The teaser of the introduction of Komaram Bheem played by Junior NTR will release on October 22.

The video promises a comeback with a crew that appeared prepared with the necessary precautions- masks, sanitisation of sets, and checking temperatures of the crew members. However, the use of PPE kits was absent.

RRR is based on the lives of two Telugu freedom fighters- Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, who fought against the British Raj and the Nizam of Hyderabad, respectively.

While shooting had started in 2019, it was stalled after the lockdown was announced. The team has organised a mini schedule with Jr. NTR while adhering to rules and regulations. According to an India Today report, the shoot will resume with Jr. NTR’s first look teaser. Actors and crew members were reportedly put up at hotels at Madhapur and Banjara Hills under quarantine norms.

The motion poster was released on March 25, showing the joining of hands of fire and water and its culmination into a revolution. While the character of Ram Charan depicts fire, Jr. NTR stands for water. Besides Telugu, the film will release in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Music composer MM Keeravaani, who worked with Rajamouli on Eega (2012), and the Baahubali franchise, is back on the crew along with editor Sreekar Prasad and cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar.

After RRR, Ram Charan will commence shooting for Koratala Siva‘s Acharya, while Jr. NTR will begin shooting for Trivikram‘s next.
