Rajinikanth has reportedly suffered minor injuries while shooting for Man vs Wild today. Ndtv reported, “Sources say Rajinikanth suffered minor injury on ankle and bruises on his shoulder.”

News agency ANI had earlier today shared footage of Rajinikanth arriving in Bandipur Tiger Reserve and National Park. The actor was in Karnataka to shoot for an episode of Man Vs Wild with Bear Grylls. He has now returned to Chennai, according to news reports.

Wildlife activist Joseph Hoover told Asianet, “It was a small fall. He fell on Lantana shrub and suffered scratches on his arm.” After the fall this afternoon, shoot was wrapped up.

The last time Grylls shot in India for Man vs Wild was with Prime Minister Modi. Modi came under attack for continuing to shoot for the show for hours after the Pulwama terror attack.

“Sources say that Rajinikanth has taken few days off from his acting schedule (Thalaivar 168)… to shoot for Man vs Wild. Rajinikanth has given two days from his busy schedule for this episode. Rajinikanth has shot at some dense and extreme places in Mysore bracing severe conditions,” News 18 had earlier reported.

The New Indian Express, quoted a senior forest department official as saying, “Permission for the shooting has been given for six hours in a day for January 28 and 30 with a special guest each day. On Tuesday it is with Rajanikanth and on 30th noted Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is also expected.”
