The highly anticipated Rajinikanth film is all set to begin shooting on August 2. Directed by Pa Ranjith of Madras and Attakathi fame, the film will reportedly feature Rajinikanth in his most unconventional role yet–an ageing gangster. The team will shoot the film on a 60-day schedule across Malaysia, Hong Kong and Thailand.
The film features Prakash Raj and Kalaiyarasan in leading roles. The remainder of the cast is yet to be finalised. The film will be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, and will include several members from the Madras team. Also on board are music director Santhosh Narayanan, editor Praveen KL and cinematographer Murali G.
