The makers of Main Hoon Rajinikanth have arranged a special screening for actor Rajinikanth and Soundarya, so that they can decide for themselves if the film depicts the Superstar in bad light. The actor obtained a ban on the film’s release earlier this month and claimed in his petition that the movie was derogatory, and that it was made without his permission.

MHR director Faisal has claimed that his movie “is all good and that there was no intention to portray the superstar in a bad light”. “The male lead’s name in the film is Rajinikanth Rao. He is a contract killer. There’s absolutely nothing in the film that would damage the real Rajinikanth,” he said.
In order to resolve the issue, the makers have reached out to Rajinikanth’s family and have requested that they watch the film and make a decision. It is not clear at this point whether the actor or his representatives have attended the screening. A spokesperson for the actor refused to comment on the issue.
